The acronym CB stands for “Certification Body” and is based on the IECEE international standards for compliance testing and certification of electrical and electronic products. It is an international sistem which recognizes each other the test’s resaults and certificates relating to the safety of electrical and electronic products operating parts and equipment. All CB certified items comply with IEC 60598 and IEC 61347 standards.
With a CB test report, issued by a CBTL laboratory (Intertek), and the corresponding CB certificate issued by an NCB certification body, you can obtain national safety certifications for your products. To obtain them without additional tests, the certificate and the CB test report must be submitted to a certifying body (NCB) of the country participating in the CB program.
